Monthly giveaway: official rules

1. Sponsor

Spokane To Do (spokanetodo.com), Spokane, Washington. Questions: hello@spokanetodo.com.

2. No purchase necessary

Entering is free. A purchase does not improve your chances of winning.

3. Who can enter

Legal residents of the United States who are 18 or older. The sponsor's owner and their immediate family are not eligible. Void where prohibited.

4. Entry period

Each giveaway runs for one calendar month, from 12:00 a.m. Pacific time on the first day of the month to 11:59 p.m. Pacific time on the last day.

5. How to enter

Subscribe to The Spokane Week newsletter for free at spokanetodo.com and confirm your email address. Every confirmed subscriber still subscribed at drawing time gets one entry in that month's drawing.

6. Bonus entries

Each subscriber has a personal share link. You get one bonus entry for each new person who subscribes through your link and confirms their email during the entry period, up to 50 bonus entries per month. Referring yourself, fake, duplicate or disposable addresses, and automated signups do not count and can disqualify you. Bonus entries reset each month.

7. Drawing

On or about the first day of the following month, one winner is chosen in a random drawing from all eligible entries, weighted by each person's number of entries. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.

8. Prize

The prize for each month (for example, a gift card to a local business) and its approximate value are described on spokanetodo.com/giveaway/ and in that month's newsletters. Gift cards are subject to the issuer's terms. No cash or substitution, except the sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.

9. Winner notification

The winner is notified by email and must reply within 7 days to claim the prize, or an alternate winner may be drawn. The winner's masked email address (for example, j•••@gmail.com) may be shown on this site and in the newsletter.

10. Unsubscribing

If you unsubscribe before the drawing, your entries for that month are removed.

11. General

The sponsor may disqualify anyone who tampers with the entry process or breaks these rules, and may change or cancel a giveaway if it can't run as planned. The winner is responsible for any taxes. This giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed or run by Instagram, Meta or any business whose gift card is the prize, unless that business is named as a co-sponsor.

12. Privacy

Entrants' email addresses are used only for The Spokane Week and the giveaway, and are never sold.
