Bing Crosby House Museum (Gonzaga University)
The boyhood home of Bing Crosby, full of his records, awards and an Oscar

Bing Crosby grew up in Spokane, and his family home is now a free museum on the Gonzaga University campus. It holds what is described as the largest collection of Crosby memorabilia open to the public.
The main floor displays more than 200 items, including gold records, trophies, awards and the Oscar he won for Going My Way in 1944. It is small, personal and easy to see in 30 to 45 minutes.
Pair it with a walk through campus and the Jundt Art Museum, which is also free. Together they make a good, cheap hour or two.
What to see and do
Crosby's Academy Award for Going My Way (1944) is part of the collection on the main floor.
More than 200 items fill the main floor, including gold records and trophies.
The house itself is the main attraction. The exhibits focus on his early life in Spokane and his later career.
On the southwest side of campus at 200 E Desmet Ave. Hours are Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm, and admission is free.
A pleasant walk, with the Foley Center Library and student center buildings among the landmarks.

A little history
The house, built in 1911, is where Crosby spent his childhood. He attended Gonzaga before leaving for Hollywood in the mid-1920s, where he became one of the best-known singers and actors of the century.
Gonzaga, a Jesuit university, holds a large Crosby collection. Items not on display are kept in the university's archives and special collections at the Foley Center Library.
